The Rapture. The Tribulation. The return of Jesus. And what to do if you’re still here.
This is what Scripture says is coming. Read it slow. Keep your Bible open. Check every verse.
“Now these were more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so.”
Acts 17:11 (NASB)
This series presents the pre-Tribulation view: Jesus gathers His people first, then a seven-year Tribulation, then His visible return to earth.
Christians differ. Faithful believers read the timing in different ways. We note those differences as we go. We are not here to argue. We are here to point you to the text.

The promise, the passages, and why it matters.
One moment. Gone. The Rapture is the moment Jesus gathers His people to Himself. Paul writes that the dead in Christ rise first, then believers who are still alive are caught up with them to meet the Lord in the air.
To seize or snatch away. Translated into Latin as rapiemur, which is where the English word “rapture” comes from.

“For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord.”
1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 (NASB)
Believers who have died are raised first.
Those still alive are changed and taken up together with them.
Not on the ground. In the clouds.
“And so we shall always be with the Lord.”

“Behold, I tell you a mystery; we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.”
1 Corinthians 15:51-52 (NASB)
Three passages carry the weight. Read them whole, in context.
Resurrection, gathering, and being with the Lord.
Read passage →Believers are changed in an instant.
Read passage →Jesus promises to come back for His followers.
Read passage →“I go to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.”
John 14:2–3 (NASB)

“Then there will be two men in the field; one will be taken and one will be left. Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken and one will be left.”
Matthew 24:40-41 (NASB)
Many read these verses as the Rapture. Others read them as judgment at Christ’s visible return. Read the whole chapter and weigh it yourself.
This series presents the pre-Tribulation view: the Rapture comes before the Tribulation and is separate from Christ’s later, visible return to earth. Passages often cited for it:
“For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ”
1 Thessalonians 5:9 (NASB)
“Because you have kept the word of My perseverance, I also will keep you from the hour of testing, that hour which is about to come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth.”
Revelation 3:10 (NASB)
Christians differ. Some believers hold a mid-Tribulation or post-Tribulation Rapture, and others read these passages differently altogether. Read them for yourself.

Deception. Persecution. Judgment. And the promise of Christ’s return.
Seven years. No shortcuts. In the pre-Tribulation view, a seven-year period follows the Rapture and ends with the return of Jesus Christ. It is a time of global deception, persecution, and judgment, and also a time when many turn to God.
“For then there will be a great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will.”
Matthew 24:21 (NASB)
The picture comes from Daniel, from Jesus’ own words in Matthew 24, and from Revelation.
“And he will make a firm covenant with the many for one week, but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering”
Daniel 9:27 (NASB)

Scripture never uses the phrase “seven-year Tribulation.” The number comes from putting passages side by side:
1,260 days ≈ 42 months ≈ 3½ years. Two halves make seven.
Christians differ. Some read these numbers symbolically, and some see the great tribulation as fulfilled in the first century. This is an interpretation, not a printed schedule.
A world leader rises. Revelation calls him the beast. He demands worship, and a mark is required to buy or sell.
“For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the elect.”
Matthew 24:24 (NASB)
The seals, trumpets, and bowls describe judgment growing more severe. Babylon’s religious and economic system falls.
Two witnesses testify for 1,260 days. John also sees a great multitude who come out of the great tribulation.
“These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.”
Revelation 7:14 (NASB)

“And he causes all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free men and the slaves, to be given a mark on their right hand or on their forehead, and he provides that no one will be able to buy or to sell, except the one who has the mark, either the name of the beast or the number of his name.”
Revelation 13:16-17 (NASB)
Revelation ties the mark to worship of the beast, and it warns of God’s judgment on anyone who takes it. Stay faithful to Jesus, even under pressure.
A solemn warning, and a call to endurance.
Read passage →Those who refused the mark reign with Christ.
Read passage →Scripture does not name the mark as any specific present-day product or technology. Read these passages in context, and don’t label a person, product, or technology from a headline.
Read Revelation 13:15–18 →
“For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah.”
Matthew 24:37 (NASB)
Noah was “warned by God about things not yet seen” and built a massive boat on dry ground. He didn’t wait for everyone to agree.
“For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and they did not understand until the flood came and took them all away; so will the coming of the Son of Man be.”
Matthew 24:38-39 (NASB)
Read prophecy with humility. It’s a call to stay faithful, not a reason to guess dates or chase headlines.

The Second Coming. Evil defeated. Creation restored.
Jesus returns visibly, in power and glory. In the pre-Tribulation view, this return comes after the Tribulation and is separate from the Rapture.
“And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and He who sat on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and wages war.”
Revelation 19:11 (NASB)
“This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in just the same way as you have watched Him go into heaven.”
Acts 1:11 (NASB)

“In that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, which is in front of Jerusalem on the east”
Zechariah 14:4 (NASB)
The beast and the false prophet are judged; their armies are defeated.
Revelation 19:19–21 →Satan is confined for a thousand years.
Revelation 20:1–3 →Christ reigns for a thousand years.
Revelation 20:4–6 →After Satan’s final rebellion and defeat comes the great white throne judgment.
Revelation 20:7–15 →God dwells with His people. Death, sorrow, and pain pass away.
Revelation 21:1–4 →“and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away.”
Revelation 21:4 (NASB)
The pre-Tribulation, premillennial framework presented in this series.
Christians differ. Amillennial and postmillennial believers read the thousand years differently. All agree Jesus is coming back.
He’s coming back to set it right. Justice, restoration, life with God. Live like it today.

Take a breath. Seek the truth. There is still hope.
Scripture describes believers being gathered to meet Jesus, a promise commonly called the Rapture. If people you love are suddenly gone, this may be what you are living through.
A disappearance report alone does not prove the Rapture has happened. Verify what is happening and steer clear of rumors.
“Therefore be on the alert, for you do not know which day your Lord is coming.”
Matthew 24:42 (NASB)
Check on the people around you. Call emergency services if anyone is hurt.
Check information. Read Scripture rather than relying on rumors.
Come to Him in faith and repentance.
Start with the passages in this book and learn their context.
Seek out trustworthy believers and care for one another.

“for “WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED.””
Romans 10:13 (NASB)
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He died for our sins and rose again. Forgiveness and new life are found in Him.
“I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.”
John 14:6 (NASB)
“that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved;”
Romans 10:9 (NASB)
Jesus & the Gospel →“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
1 John 1:9 (NASB)
Revelation warns of deception, forced worship, the beast’s mark, and persecution. Compare every claim with the text.
Do not label a person, product, or technology as the mark from a headline alone.
“and let us consider how to stimulate one another to love and good deeds, not forsaking our own assembling together”
Hebrews 10:24–25 (NASB)
“The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance.”
2 Peter 3:9 (NASB)
Seek Jesus. Read His Word. Care for one another.

The verses that matter most. Word for word.

Revelation 1:7 (NASB)
“And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the SON OF MAN COMING ON THE CLOUDS OF THE SKY with power and great glory.”
