End-Times Prophecy: A Reading Overview

Connect Daniel, Jesus’ teaching, Paul’s letters, and Revelation without reducing them to a speculative date chart.

End-Times Prophecy: A Reading Overview

Prophecy study benefits from reading each book in context before connecting passages. Begin with the message to its first audience, then examine how later biblical writers use the themes.

Read and study

  • Daniel 7 and 9: kingdoms, judgment, and the debated chronology of the seventy weeks.
  • Matthew 24–25 and Mark 13: watchfulness, deception, endurance, and accountability.
  • 1 Thessalonians 4–5: resurrection, hope, and readiness.
  • 2 Thessalonians 2: gathering to Christ and the warning about deception.
  • Revelation 19–22: victory, judgment, resurrection, and new creation.

Put the reading into practice

Record the plain observation first, then the interpretive connection. Ask what is explicit and what depends on a theological framework. Do not use a headline as proof that you can identify the day of Christ’s return.
