Read Revelation as a whole book addressed to real churches, rich in visions and echoes of earlier Scripture. Pay attention to worship, allegiance, endurance, judgment, and the hope of God dwelling with his people.

Put the reading into practice
For each chapter, ask what it reveals about God, what response it calls for, and which Old Testament images it uses. Christians differ over how the visions relate to history and to one another. Keep those interpretive choices visible rather than presenting one timeline as the only possible reading.
