The Christian gospel announces Jesus Christ’s life, death, and resurrection and calls people to turn toward God in faith. Salvation is not a reward for getting every religious question right. Begin by learning who Jesus is and what he has done.
Read and study
- Read John 3:16–21 on God’s love and the invitation to believe.
- Read Ephesians 2:1–10 on grace, faith, and a life shaped by good works.
- Read Romans 10:9–13 on calling upon the Lord.
- Read Mark 1:14–15 on repentance and faith.
Put the reading into practice
Pray honestly in your own words: ask for forgiveness, express your trust in Jesus, and ask for help to follow him. A particular script is not a magic formula. Read a Gospel and connect with a faithful church for teaching, baptism, community, and discipleship.
